From the imagination of  G. Lawson White

COMING SOON!

Sand of Time - A Journey Across Scotland

and sequel

Michael Scot and the Isle of Skye

Storyteller, poet and artist, indie author G. Lawson White mingles the folklore and history of Celtic lands with magic and miracles to create tales where faeries flourish, mysterious creatures emerge, and wizards and witches become commonplace.   Her first published book, The View from the Thorn – A Collection of Irish Faerie Stories and Other Celtic Tales, highlighted the poetic side of her nature.  While fascinated with the limits poetry places on the use of words, the writing of Sand of Time - A Journey Across Scotland and its sequel Michael Scot and the Isle of Skye proved both a challenge for the endless possibility of the written word and a relief from the bondage small, succinct quality verse requires.  But following the author’s tour of Scotland, a bigger story longed to be told.

 The View from the Thorn

A Collection of Irish Faerie Stories and Other Celtic Tales

THE VIEW FROM THE THORN brings you a gathering of tales from the misty isles of Ireland and Scotland as told by the high-poet Dunlevy, a withered soul himself but still with quite the gift of gab, and perhaps some element of Blarney.  Poetry is the language of Dunlevy, the language of the Irish, the language of the Celts. Even the ancient Greeks and Romans credited the Irish with the creation of rhyme.

Drahgoon is Dunlevy’s personal story of friendship with a young lad and his encounter with the mythic dragon, Drahgoon.  The search for The Last Celt takes us across the North Channel to Scotland to find that a wee bit of magic can wield its way even into a hero’s life.  While in Scotland, we meet Fergus, a foolish mortal who learns what happens when a mere human crosses over to the realm of elves in ArielleThe Temptation of Galahad visits the legendary Camelot.  Following Sir Galahad on his quest for the Holy Grail, we uncover a part of the myth previously untold.  Chrysalis, the Keeper of the Butterflies is an Irish faerie tale of one faerie’s meeting with humans, her battle with the evil family Shenanigan, forbidden love and the origins of the Irish people we know today.  Between the larger stories are always smaller ones, not those of heroes and legends but of ordinary folks and their encounters with the unknown, the mysterious and sometimes even the magical.

A storyteller, poet and artist, Gail uses folklore and a bit of self-induced Blarney to weave a magic spell.
